Kayak Tour Moraira - Cala Moraig
Our most popular tour, the Kayak Tour of Moraira. We set out paddling across the stunning crystal clear waters of Platgetes, passing the town, Playa L'ampolla and Marina of Moraira and head for the stunning El Portet.
As we paddle around the impressive Cabo de Oro from El Portet, the coastline suddenly opens up, the imposing high cliff line now completely visible until the Cabo de la Nao in Javea, the most easterly point of the peninsular.
We paddle along a stretch of the high cliffs, checking out the historic fishermen ladders that precariously cling to the rocks and check out some of the smaller sea caves before reaching the little known beach of Cala Llebeig, also known as the Smugglers Cove. Only accessible via hiking through the coastal mountains or by boat, this beach is reminicent of an era gone by, with fishermen beach huts dug into the mountain side and old fishing boats scattering the beach.
We take a break at La Cala and make time for some snorkelling (weather permitting) before heading off to Cala Moraig, locally known as the Cumbre del Sol, taking in the caves and hidden beaches only accessible by sea or hiking and climbing the mountains! A totally different perspective of the coastline.
Please remember conditions can vary on tours and so our guides will sometimes have to vary the route to ensure safety which could include not being able to land at Cala Llebeig as this is an exposed part of the coastline. If this is the case we would normally land at Cala Moraig instead and snorkel from the more sheltered location.
